About

GEOS (Geometry Engine, Open Source) is the C/C++ port of the Java Topology Suite and the computational-geometry workhorse of the geospatial world. PostGIS, Shapely, QGIS and GDAL all delegate their spatial predicates and overlay operations to it. Bindings exist for Python, R, Rust and more.
